One Sanctum is honoured to present Resilience in a Stressed World — Dr. Gabor Maté's only scheduled multi-day retreat in 2026. This will be an intimate gathering, limited to approximately 50 rooms at the Poseidonion Grand Hotel on the island of Spetses.
Bringing this retreat to life has been a labour of love for the One Sanctum team — a rare opportunity to sit with Dr. Maté and an extraordinary faculty. While Dr. Maté is in excellent health, insurance market restrictions related to his age prevent us from securing event insurance to cover the very unlikely event of cancellation.
To protect your investment, we strongly encourage all attendees to purchase travel insurance — specifically "Cancel For Any Reason" (CFAR) coverage. CFAR allows you to recover up to 75% — and in some cases 100% — of your investment for any reason. It is a standard offering through most travel insurance providers and must typically be purchased within 21 days of booking.
In the very unlikely event that we must cancel the retreat due to Dr. Maté's inability to attend, One Sanctum will refund up to 25% of your ticket cost after you have successfully claimed from your insurance — covering the gap created by the 75% typical CFAR coverage. Travel expenses will not be covered by One Sanctum.
This approach ensures both our guests and our team are aligned in taking proactive measures against financial loss in the very unlikely event that something unforeseen happens.

Due to the structure of our event and the many moving parts that make it a singular experience, we are no longer able to issue refunds for registrations — past or future. We understand that life happens, so to accommodate change, registrations are transferable.
